  The Sacrament of Confirmation is adminstered in the spring of the 8th Grade to those candidates who complete the require sacrametal preparation program.  The guidelines for the reception of this Sacrament are issued by the Office of the Bishop. The guidelines state that each candidate must attend the the preparation sessions. All candidates for Confirmation, excluding those who attend Pope John, must attend these sessions at the parish. At Saint Thomas of Aquin our sessions for those preparing for Confirmation are held on Monday evenings from 6:45 - 8:00 PM

  A vital part of each candidate's spiritual life and growth as a Catholic is regular participation in the Sacraments of the Church.  All candidates and their families are expected to attend Mass each Sunday or Saturday evening, as well as on holy days of obligation.  They are also encouraged to receive the Sacrament of Reconcilation regularly.   
     
  Each candidate must complete a specify number of hours of social service, each year to be confirmed.

  CONFIRMATION CLASS WEATHER WATCH: 
  On Mondays, if the Ogdensburg Public School is closed, has an early dismissal or after school activities are cancelled due to inclememnt weather, Confirmation Classes are cancelled.  Cancellations will also be posted on the Home Page of our Parish Website:  www.stthomasofaquin.org
